Fights For Freedom For Christian Family

The Most Brutal Murders Of Christians Is About To Happen…

The Muslim government in Pakistan have now sentenced to death a Christian husband and wife who we have been desperately trying to rescue. Their names are Shafqat Emmanuel and Shagufta Kasuar, and they were arrested after they were groundlessly accused of blasphemy against Islam.

In the middle of the trial, before the sentence was made, the Muslims in the courtroom began to loudly and wildly shout verses from the Koran, and declared that if the judge did not prescribe the death penalty, that they would make sure that the two Christians would be killed anyway.

The cries of the persecuted are only heard by a few, while those in the supposed objective media have been resistant to even hear them. The Telegraph wrote a report on the death sentence of these two Christians, and they were utterly indifferent to the persecution taking place every day in Pakistan against the saints. (1)

On TuesdayRescue Christians will be filing a motion to reverse and overturn the conviction and acquit the accused, who have been given the death penalty based on no evidence.

As Rescue Christians has learned from its contact from Pakistan, two men, Muhmmad Hussain and Tehsil Bar Association President, Anwar Mansoor Goraya, claimed to have received blasphemous text messages in English from the number registered on Shagufta Kausar’s name.

But in a diligent investigation, the SIM card of the cell phone was observed and found to be not even registered under Shafqat and Shagufta. Moreover, both of these two Christians cannot even spell or write in the English language, and thus would have been completely unable to write the text messages.

Therefore, they were wrongly accused and the entire trial was conspired for the purpose of slaughtering more Christian victims. With such sinister ways of thinking can we not help but say with the prophet Isaiah:

The way of peace they know not; and there is no judgment in their goings: they have made them crooked paths: whosoever goeth therein shall not know peace. (Isaiah 59:8)

The husband, Shafqat, is lame and crippled to the waist down, and not even his infirmities, which demand all the sympathies of those with humanity, have even provoked the Muslim people nor the judge to tears. These warriors for Christ are now in the wilderness of perdition, where Satan sits and merciless beasts roam about senselessly searching for blood, and where the aspirations of evil hearts loom from the veiling dark clouds of hell’s tempest.

After Asia Bibi, Shagufta is the second Christian women to be sentenced to death in Pakistan.

In this obsession with bringing violence upon the saints, we cannot help but be reminded of that most bloody time of man’s history, when “the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.” (Genesis 6:5)

The archers of Lucifer have taken their aim on the most helpless of people, for “lo, the wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may privily shoot at the upright in heart.” (Psalm 11:2) The Pakistani government is amongst these very archers who advance their diabolical and false god.

The judges in Pakistan are controlled not by prudence, nor reason nor justice, but by the lawlessness of the mob, the the morose and savagely violent disposition of the masses, the sullen and volatile bloodlust of the herds of pagan Muslims, and the empty and heathen prayers of wizardly imams who each day vomit out the most sinister verses from the despicable book of Muhammad, demanding the wanton slaughter of Christians so to indulge the people to get drunk off the blood of the saints.

As Rescue Christians has learned from its Pakistani contact, the judge, Amir Habib, has given a death sentence to Shafqat Emmanuel and Shagufta Kasuar. Our contact from Pakistan has appealed to numerous reputable forums within the legal system of Pakistan, and no one has heard his cries for mercy.

In such a parlous and uncertain situation, where misery rules the thoughts of the wolves, and eternity the contemplations of the sheep, where moribund fates take hold of hated saints, of whom the world is not worthy, we are compelled by Heaven’s will to recite the words of St. Paul, when he described with dire and yet ascending words, on how the saints of old “had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment: They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented” (Hebrews 11:36-37)

The trials conspired by cruel men have not stopped, and the mocking courts of the heathen are just as alive as they were when St. Paul was beheaded and St. Peter was crucified in a manner worthy of his Lord. Shagufta and Shafqat have been given the death penalty alongside a pastor named Adnan, and another Christian named Asif Pervaiz. Rescue Christians’ contact from Pakistan has been screaming at the international community that more Christians are going to be killed under blasphemy law, and God willing his cries will not be in vain. As he tells us:

For the last five months we have been yelling in front of the international community that all the victims of blasphemy law will be awarded with the same punishment, especially now after Shagufta Kausar and Shafqat Emmanuel, pastor Adnan and Asif Pervaiz will be given the death sentence shortly.

Our Pakistani contact for Rescue Christians also gave us this very impactful warning:

If a bold step would not be taken from the Christian community soon then it would become impossible for them to live in Pakistan.

The truth of these words have been revealing themselves ever so clearer under the heartfelt and dimming sunlight of destiny, which has been struck and attacked ceaselessly by the dark and turbid clouds of Satan and his archers, and though their arrows are aimed for the sheep, the brightness of holiness blinds their eyes, and their attack is made useless.

Let the holiness of Christians dissipate the darkness of the devil. I ask you to please support Rescue Christians, and make a donation to help us liberate this poor Christian husband and wife.

More from our contact in Pakistan…

On 21st July 2013, A crippled Christian man, Shafaqat Emmanuel, and his wife Shagufta Kausar were arrested in Gojra District for allegedly sending Blasphemous text messages to the Local Muslims. Police registered the FIR 407/13 under section 295-B and 295-C. Complainants Muhmmad Hussain and Tehsil Bar Association President, Anwar Mansoor Goraya alleged they received the blasphemous Text messages from the number registered on Shagufta Kausar’s name.

The Station House officer (SHO) of Gojra City Police Station, Mr. Muhammad Nasir said:

“The police had verified that the SIM used to send the blasphemous text messages was registered in Shagufta’s name whereas her husband admitted to use her phone to send the messages to Hussain”

However, Shagufta told the police that they had lost the cell phone a month earlier. She denied the charges but police started 3rd degree torture on Shafaqat Masih who is Crippled and physically challenged. They tortured him in front of his wife and four Children. Police forced him to confess to the charges or name others. Otherwise, they would start torturing his wife Shagufta. Then Shafaqat admitted that he had sent the messages, whereas when our lawyers visited Shafaqat Emmanuel, he denied the charges and stated:

“There is no man who can stand to see his wife being tortured by police so to save my wife, I confessed.”

He further told the our legal team that:

“When we lost phone and the SIM, I visited the nearby Mobile Shop many times to block our mobile SIM.”

According to our investigation, police confirmed Shafaqat’s statement with the mobile shop, which they affirmed. The shop owner says that he came twice to block his SIM-CARD.

Even after knowing the facts, that the couple had lost their cell phone and SIM card, police still registered an FIR against the crippled man and his uneducated wife.

Shagufta was working in “St. John Cathedral School” as a maid. She was the only working hand in the family, as Shafaqat Emmanuel was in wheelchair due to the fire arm injury which paralyzed his lower body. The Couple has four Children – Zain (12) Danish (10) Joshua (8) and Sara (6).

Local Cleric Pressure

According to the Police authority, Muslim clerics, local lawyers and a Bar official were so furious that they remained in the police station until the FIR was written. Gojra is a religiously volatile city where a week ago a young Christian man was sentenced to life in prison on the same charges. On July 13th, Sajjad Masih was sent to jail for life for the same sort of text messages case. The city police of Gojra – in association with some fundamental Muslims – beat the Christian boy, Sajjad Masih. The case was sent to the court of Mian Shahzad Raza, Additional Session Judge Gojra, for trial of the case. However Muslims failed to prove the charges against Sajjad Masih but even than the Additional Session Judge Shahzad Raza sentenced him to life in prison.

Earlier in 2009, due to a similar cause, radical Muslims set the Christian colony ablaze and 8 family members were burned alive. The fire was started from the Korian Village, District Toba Tek Singh and hundreds of houses were turned to ashes there. Many families left their houses and shifted to other areas of the country; some fled from Pakistan.

The area is known as a house of the banned militant organization, Lashkar-e-Jhangvi. It was reported earlier that local government is backing up this organization and this case of Shafaqat Masih and his wife Shagufta Bibi is the continuation of Gojra Tragedy.

We have not been able to understand the situation with the Pakistani courts; the text message / SMS is taken as sole evidence against the accused of the Blasphemy case whereas the DNA test report, which is an authentic proof against rape, is not acceptable according to the Islamic Sharia Law.

Banner in Gojra City: “Immediately Hang the Blasphemer and revoke the lifetime imprisonment. Oh ruler, act sanely.”

Role of Christian NGOs and Churches

Christian NGOs and Churches played the usual role during the past week. It has been observed that some of the NGO workers have been struggling to get this case for their vested interests. We hope everyone remembers what happened when the recent incident of Joseph Colony occurred in Lahore. Every man working on persecution was fighting for Sawan Masih. It has even been said that one well known activist has paid huge money to get pictures with Sawan Masih and his family. This has become a practice of many Christian NGOs to fight for such cases instead of working together to help these persecuted Christians.

Since 21st July, 2013 our team has been working on the ground with the family. We have observed that instead of doing something, the Church is again silent. Protestant, and Evangelical Bishops receive billions of dollars from their sister churches and Christian Organizations but they spend those funds for their self promotions and luxurious lifestyles. Pakistani Bishops have luxury homes in the U.K., France, the U.S., and Denmark whereas the communities for whom these donations are received are living in the slum areas. Even Non-profit Organizations – NGOs funded for charitable programs – spend millions of Rupees for their personal promotions and for luxuries rather than doing something for the victims.

We felt the need to write something about the role of the cruelties of one greedy, religious leader in particular but for some reason, our team working on the ground stopped us from doing so at this stage. We will soon uncover the story behind the closed doors and how our leaders play with such persecuted Victims.

Our team is defending the persecuted couple and has already given shelter to the four children and their Grandfather Emmanuel Masih. We hope that soon we will be able to get justice for this persecuted Couple.

We request you again to please keep the couple and their children in your prayers.

Muslims Slaughter 12 Christians Trying To Rescue Girls Kidnapped By Muslims And Forced To Convert To Islam

Muslims Slaughter 12 Christians Trying To Rescue Girls Kidnapped By Muslims And Forced To Convert To Islam

Muslims slaughtered 12 Christians who tried to rescue girls that had been kidnapped by Muslims and forced to convert to Islam according to a report:

Muslim residents of Kasuwan Magani in northern Nigeria yesterday killed 12 Christians after an attempt to rescue two Christian teenage girls from Muslims who had kidnapped them and coerced them to convert, area residents told Morning Star News.

James Madaki, a 50-year-old member of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA), said another 20 Christians were injured, and that Muslims set homes and shops on fire in the predominantly Christian area of the town in Kaduna state, 31 kilometers (20 miles) southeast of the city of Kaduna.

“The names of those killed are not readily available to me at the moment, but I can confirm to you that they are Christians killed in the Christian area of the town,” Madaki told Morning Star News.

In comments corroborated by another area Christian, Madaki said two Christian teenage girls were abducted and forcefully converted to Islam two weeks ago, and that they were being held hostage in the house of the Muslim leader in Kasuwan Magani.

“The case was reported to the police, and the girls were not rescued, so some Christians decided to rescue the girls, but the Muslims in the town attacked them,” Madaki said. “The Muslims did not just attack the Christians that went to rescue the girls, but also went round town attacking Christians they sighted and burned houses belonging to Christians.”

Those killed and wounded belong to the ECWA, Baptist, Assemblies of God and Seventh-day Adventist churches, as well as Pentecostal churches in the town, he said.

“As I talk to you, 12 Christians have been killed and 20 others injured and are being been taken to hospitals in the city of Kaduna,” he said.

He said the violence broke out at about 10:30 a.m. following the attempt to rescue the girls.

Another resident of Kasuwan Magani, Omega Funom, corroborated Madaki’s account in a text message.

“The crisis here occurred because two Christian underage girls were kidnapped and forced to become Muslims by some Muslims in this town,” Funom said. “This is the practice by Muslims in Kaduna state. They abduct small Christian girls and force them to become Muslims, and when Christians reject this, they attack them to create the impression that there’s a religious crisis.”

He told Morning Star News that the sanctuary of Assemblies of God Church in the town was burned down yesterday during the attack on Christians.

“The Assembly of God Church was burnt down,” Funom wrote. “Muslims were armed with AK-47 guns as they attacked Christians. This is a Jihad by the Muslims.”

Nigerian press reports indicated, without citing sources, that the violence resulted from Christian and Muslim youths clashing over their girlfriends dating men of the other faith.

The area, which has seen several religious clashes, is a predominantly Christian community under political control of Muslims. Christians have been the victims of many unprovoked attacks by Muslim Fulani herdsmen in Kaduna state.

The Rev. John Hayap, spokesman for the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Northern Nigeria Chapter, told Morning Star News he was saddened over attacks on Christians and forceful conversions of Christian girls by Muslim leaders.

“There have been such forceful conversion of teenage Christian girls by Muslim leaders in northern Nigeria, and the Nigerian government has not been able to put an end to this,” he said. “I feel very sad about such violence on Christians, but what more can we do than to pray and ask for God’s intervention. We”ll continue to preach peace and tolerance in our churches no matter the level of provocation from our Muslim neighbors.”

Mukhtar Aliyu, police spokesman for the Kaduna State Command, told Morning Star News only that there was a sectarian clash.

“Yes, there was crisis in Kasuwan Magani town today, and we are working towards restoring peace and order in the area,” he said yesterday (Feb. 26).

Samuel Aruwan, media aide to the Kaduna state governor, told Morning Star News that an effort was underway to assist the injured and the displaced from Kasuwan Magani.

“The State Emergency Management Agency has been directed to take inventory of damages and provide relief materials to victims with immediate effect,” he said.

Abuja Shooting

In Nigeria’s capital city of Abuja, a worship service was disrupted on Sunday (Feb. 25) when unidentified gunmen shot at worshippers, wounding a security guard.

The shooting at 10 a.m. into the building of the ECWA Good News Church in Durumi, near Garki, forced members of the congregation to scamper to safety and abandon the service, church member Stephen Markus, 35, told Morning Star News by phone.

“Rabo Danboyi, the security officer manning the entrance into our church, was shot and injured on the leg by the gunmen, and he’s currently being treated at the Federal Medical Centre here in Abuja,” Markus said. “When we heard gunshots and bullets hitting church walls, we all ran out in different directions. Some said the attackers were Boko Haram terrorists who attacked us but were resisted by our church’s security guards.”

After about 30 minutes, the pandemonium subsided, he said.

“Some of us who braved to return to the worship sanctuary learned that the shooting was done by some unknown gunmen,” Markus said.

The pastor and other church leaders could not be reached for comment. Daniel Kadzai, national president of the youth wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria (YOWICAN), confirmed the attack by unknown gunmen in a text message to Morning Star News.

Police authorities in Abuja confirmed the church shooting but declined to give further details. (source, source)

Hindu Terrorists Attack Christians Driving A Car In India, Drag Boxes Of Bibles Out And Burn Them

Hindu Terrorists Attack Christians Driving A Car In India, Drag Boxes Of Bibles Out And Burn Them

Hindu terrorists attacked a car full of Christians bringing Bibles in southern India. After an argument, the terrorists dragged the Bibles out, dumped them on the ground, and filmed themselves burning them:

Hindu extremists in southern India issued harsh threats to Christians distributing Bibles before snatching their car keys, taking Bibles out of their vehicle and setting the Scripture on fire, sources said.

Christians associated with Gideons International, all senior citizens, told Morning Star News that their advanced age did not temper the vitriol they received in Singotam village, Nagar Kurnool District, in Telangana state on Jan. 21.

“From now on, if any of you distribute Bibles, we will attack you brutally [till your genitalia are damaged],” one of the Hindus warned the Christians, according to a video the extremists took of the attack. “How dare you promote Christianity?”

The video shows the group harassing Christians after one of the group snuck into the car, took the keys and tossed the Bibles out, which the group then began kicking.

“You are useless people, and all your activities are useless,” the video shows one saying. “You will give a Bible to whoever you want? How dare you …You shameless idiots. Get the hell out of here.”

One of the assailants then poured fuel as his colleagues instructed him to pour it on the copies; he then lit a matchstick and set the Bibles on fire.

The hostilities come after “one of the most traumatic” years of persecution of Christians, according to a report released last week by the Evangelical Fellowship of India (EFI).

The Christians had obtained permission to distribute the Bibles at government-aided school in Singotam village from the headmaster. They had set out from Nagarkurnool at 11 a.m. and reached Singotam 90 minutes later, waiting another half hour for four other Christian associates, the group’s Richard Nixon told Morning Star News.

“Eight of us were travelling in two different cars,” he said. “Before distributing the Bibles, we prayed together, and we had first asked the school administration that we will place the Bibles there, that the students may take them, but we were told to distribute them by ourselves. It was such a joy! The children came to us few at a time with their friends and received the Bibles happily.”

They distributed nearly 170 Bibles, Nixon said. Five cartons remained with 80 copies of the New Testament in each, and they proceeded towards the town distributing the Bibles to shops and passers-by.

“There was a Lakshmi Narsimha Swamy temple in that area called Kollapur, and a man came out from the temple and asked us if we can give him some copies of New Testament, and we gave some 20 copies to him,” Nixon said. “Each of us was carrying handful of Bibles and were walking on the road adjacent to the temple.”

Lakshmi is the Hindu goddess for wealth, and Narsimha is the Hindu lion god. They are regarded as husband and wife in Hindu mythology.

A group of at least 10 Hindu extremists approached and ordered them to stop distributing the Bibles, Nixon said.

“We didn’t want to argue with them and just kept calm,” he said. “But they started badgering us with questions: ‘Who sent you here? Why are you distributing Bibles?’ They soon slipped into filthy language. We told them that we will move on from here, and requested let there be no fight.”

Counter-Charge against Christians

The Christians had distributed Bibles in the area for 30 years without any opposition, said another member of the group, K.J. Anandham, a retired police sub-inspector.

“The Hindus harassed us and even threatened to beat my wife,” he said. “We are all retired employees and senior citizens; they did not have courtesy for age. Their language was uncivilized and brutal.”

The extremists told them to leave, and they resumed their journey, stopping the car after about 800 meters to wait for their colleagues in the other car.

“We found the same man who picked a fight with us in the town following us with 10 more,” Nixon said. “They started abusing us in extreme vulgar language. One of them sneaked into the car and picked up the copies of Bibles and threw them out. They started kicking the Bibles.”

While their driver was about to start the car, another extremist jumped in and pulled the keys from him, he said

“They started tearing the Bibles savagely. They got the cartons we had not even opened yet from the boot of the car, threw them down and started kicking and stamping the copies. We tried to stop them, saying, ‘We will not distribute them here, but please don’t tear the Bibles. It’s the Holy Word of God,’ but they paid no heed. They also started videotaping.”

The extremists then set the Bibles ablaze. Area resident A. Navanitham saw the video and informed Kollapur police. Circle Inspector of Police Saida Babu told Morning Star News that officers registered a case, First Information Report No. 12/2018, based on Navanitham’s complaint and the video, and took the assailants into custody.

A counter-charge, however, has been filed against the Christians, Sub-Inspector of Police G.V. Satyanarayana told Morning Star News.

“This case will not be produced before the court as yet,” he said. “We are waiting for the orders of the District Collector.”

District Collector E. Sridhar was unavailable for comment.

A legal expert who requested anonymity said police have taken the tactic of registering an FIR against “unknown” assailants.

“There is no name – that simply means they have not charged anyone, and no assailants were produced before the court,” the legal expert said. “Had the police been serious, they would have made arrests, and the accused according to legal procedure should have been produced before the court of law since Section 295-A is a non-bailable offense.”

Section 295-A of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) outlaws “deliberate and malicious acts intended to outrage religious feelings,” punishable by a fine, prison terms or both.

There is no chance of intervention by the District Collector, since it is police who levy charges depending on the evidence, the source noted.

Asked what the charges had been filed against the Christians, Police Inspector G.V. Satyanarayana said, “We are yet to decide that, but a case has already been registered under section 295-A of the Indian Penal Code.”

Gideons associate Anandham said that three days after the incident, he and his wife were summoned to the police station.

“Because of the complaint given by Navanitham, the police joined hands with Hindu extremists and are after us,” he said.

He and his wife, both diabetics, were held at the police station all the day, he said.

“We were exhausted, without food and water,” he said. “On the day of attack, we discussed the matter and decided to pray and forgive the assailants, and to not file any case against them. But Navnitham has shown interest, and his motives are still not known.”

Asked to comment, Navnitham told Morning Star News only, “The police have already arrested the assailants, the matter is over.”

Sharing Christ’s Love

Navneet Chhabra, executive director of Gideons International in India, told Morning Star News that there have been several instances of people telling workers to stop distributing Bibles, though the workers are not assigned to religious conversion.

“The book has got Proverbs, which are written by Solomon, and it speaks about wisdom,” he said. “It has got several things, and we do not know in which state the people are when they receive a copy. We only believe that when they read it they will receive some peace in their heart.”

Gideons workers politely stop distributing when people decline, he said.

“There have been testimonies where people who have themselves burned the Bibles have invited Christ into their lives,” he added. “There are instances where people have picked up torn papers of Bible from garbage, and their lives were transformed.”

The organization has received letters from hospitals and jails from people who received the Bibles and whose lives the Lord has touched, Chhabra said.

“Whoever has done this act of burning the Bibles, we will pray for them that the Lord wipe away the hatred from their hearts,” he said. “We belong to the same country and share as much patriotism as they do, then why this animosity? We don’t retaliate, we don’t hold any animosity, and we forgive them. We love them.”

Nixon added: “We will continue sharing the love of Lord Jesus Christ.” (source)

Eight Hundred Christian Families Flee For Their Lives Amid Fears Of Islamic Mob Violence After Muslims Accuse Christian Man Of ‘Blasphemy’

Eight Hundred Christian Families Flee For Their Lives Amid Fears Of Islamic Mob Violence After Muslims Accuse Christian Man Of ‘Blasphemy’

Eight hundred Christian families from Pakistan have fled amid fear of mob violence after Muslims accused a Christian man of posting “blasphemous” content on Facebook according to a report:

Several Islamic clerics and a few Christian leaders held a press conference at a police station in Lahore, Pakistan, this evening (20 February) to send a message to at least 800 families who fled a Christian neighborhood in the city after a 20-year-old Christian man was accused of posting blasphemous content on Facebook, causing an angry mob to form.

The press conference was held at the Shahdara Police Station, after which a joint statement was signed calling for Christians to return and live peacefully with their Muslim neighbors, as before. The statement also noted that “the Christian community has guaranteed that they would not interfere in the religious matters of Muslims any further. And neither would any such incident [of disrespect] take place anymore. [Christians] will respect the religion of Muslims and holy places and their religious festivals and they [the leaders] will teach this to the members of their community”.

The mob had yesterday (19 February) set tyres alight and blocked part of the Grand Trunk Road, a main artery in Lahore that connects the city with other major parts of the country, demanding Patras Masih be publicly hanged for posting content alleged to have disrespected the prophet Muhammad.

Lahore is a big metropolitan with a population of more than 15 million, including the largest population of Christians in Pakistan – no less than half a million. Around 2,000 Christian families, including Masih’s, live in the Dhair neighborhood of Shahdara, a northern suburb of Lahore, and Bishop Emmanuel Masih of God’s Church in Lahore told World Watch Monitor that at least 800 fled to stay with relatives elsewhere, fearing a repeat of several previous instances when Christian neighborhoods have been set on fire following blasphemy accusations.

Patras Masih had a nominal education and has been working as a cleaner in a bank, where his father, Inderyas, also works as a driver.

Masih’s paternal uncle, Arif, told World Watch Monitor his nephew was friends with both Christians and Muslims. “A few weeks ago, Patras posted a picture in a group of his friends that had both Christian and Muslim members,” he said.

According to the First Information Report (FIR) of the crime, lodged by a man named Muhammad Awais, the allegedly blasphemous content was posted more than a month ago, on 16 January, on a Facebook group named PaglonKiBasti (The Town of Lunatics).

“After seeing this post, I asked Muhammad Siddique [moderator of the group], who immediately phoned the suspect, Patras Masih, and asked him to remove the post. But Patras refused to remove the post, after which the area residents are quite upset and angry,” Awais stated in the FIR.

Patras Masih’s mother, Saima Bibi, told World Watch Monitor that on the evening before the trouble started, Sunday 18 February, three men of Pashtun descent came to her home, showed her son’s picture and inquired if he was home. “Patras’s younger brother told them that he was not home,” she explained. “Then again four boys came inquiring about him. When Patras came home, we told him and he could not make sense of why these people were looking for him.

“Early the next morning [19 February], Patras and his father left for work, where his friend told him on the phone that people were gathering outside, after which the two of them fled while I came back home. The police knocked on the door while I was in the washroom. They left after searching, without finding me. I spent all day in the washroom and at night I went to the second floor of the building and jumped to a neighbor’s house.” (source)

Beaten and Tortured for Crime He Did Not Commit; Now Free Courtesy of Rescue Christians

We would like to thank our supporters for without your help we could not have saved this man:

On 24th May 2016, Liaqat Masih contacted us in order to help his son who was arrested by the police over the charge of the sharing and publishing the Blasphemous material against Muhammad (prophet of Islam). At the time of Usman’s arrest all the Christians from the Nabi Pura village had fled and the Muslims were threatening to burn down all Christian homes.

When the Rescue Christian team investigated the whole issue, we found that there were a gang of Christian and Muslim men who took the picture of women and posted them on Facebook and then they blackmailed Usman Masih. Prior to this Blasphemy accusation Usman Masih was assaulted by these men in which Usman was badly injured. Usman Masih submitted a complaint against these men but the police did not act against them. In an act of revenge by his attackers the same people who assaulted him filed false charges of blasphemy with no evidence to support the claim, then Usman Masih was arrested. The anti Christian bias was blatant.

With the support of the police and some local influential people this gang registered an FIR against him under the blasphemy law. They accused Usman for posting and sharing the Anti Islam and Anti Muhammad material on Social media. Usman worked at a Honda Factory and he hardly has any time for the family, he never gets involved in any of such activities on the internet.

Watch Usman Masih’s full testimony

Police took his cell phone and computer for their investigation and later his ISP. Mr. Najeeb Ullah Khan testified in Court that he did not find any blasphemous material from Usman’s Cell Phone or Computer. He further explained that the Forensic laboratory analyzed his computer as well as his Facebook account and found nothing sub verse against Islam was published.

Even Eshan Asmat the complainant failed to provide any evidence against Usman Masih. Our team of lawyers proved Usman Masih innocence and after a long twenty months the Judge being Mohammed Moeen Khokhar on February 16 2018 signed the acquittal and release papers in the court of Additional and session judge of Ferozwala, Punjab.

The Judge Muhammad Moeen Khokhar understood Usman Masih was innocent and there was not a single piece evidence against him and provided more than enough time (nearly two years) for the complaint to show any evidence of guilt which they could not. While the judge did finally acquit Usman, it is still scandalous that he took twenty-one months for justice to be done as well as police torture to go unpunished. Our lawyers and partners were able to get justice but it took efforts that went way beyond what it should have taken.

A Muslim man attacked a church during services on Sunday In Russia near the border of Chechnya. He killed five people and injured several more before he was killed in a shootout with police after. Parishioners hid for their lives but one person was able to get some video of the ordeal:

Five women were killed and several others were injured after a gunman opened fire with a hunting rifle on people leaving a church service in Russia’s Dagestan region on Sunday, Russian media outlets reported.

The shooting unfolded outside a church in Kizlyar, a town of about 50,000 people on the border with Chechnya. The Russian news agency TASS cited Svetlana Petrenko of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation as the source for the number of people killed and wounded.

The Islamic State terror network claimed responsibility, according to its Amaq media agency. ISIS said the killer was a “soldier of the caliphate,” a man known as Khalil al-Dagestani, The New York Times reported.

The gunman was shot dead by police responding to the scene, a law enforcement source told the Interfax news agency. According to Interfax, the gunman has been identified as a local man in his early 20s.

“People were leaving a church after an evening service when he opened gunfire at them,” Shuvalov told TASS. Two police officers and a woman were among the wounded, according to Shuvalov. One woman later died at a hospital, a law enforcement source told RIA Novosti.

A witness posted a video of the shooting on Twitter, which captured the moment shots were being fired.

Russian television station REN-TV posted surveillance video showing the gunman walking with the gun along main streets of the city.

Russian news outlets also posted photos on social media of the alleged weapon used in the attack, in addition to a body in front of the church covered by a tarp.

Parishioners were at the church celebrating the end of the Russian festival of Maslenitsa, a holiday which marks the start of Lent for Russian Orthodox Christians, according to RT.

A witness to the shooting, Oksana, told RT the gunman targeted people as they were leaving the church, but many took cover inside the building.

“There were a lot of people there, moms with little children, elderly people. I believe God saved us, not allowing the man to get inside the church,” the woman told the news outlet.(source)

Muslim Terrorists Execute Three Christians, Shout “These Infidels Should Be Wiped Out”

Muslim Terrorists Execute Three Christians, Shout “These Infidels Should Be Wiped Out”

Three Christians were executed this weekend by Muslim terrorists. According to witnesses they said “these infidels should be wiped out” as they did the killings:

Suspected members of Islamic extremist group Al Shabaab shot three Christians to death in northeastern Kenya at 1 a.m. on Friday (Feb. 16), sources said.

Targeting Kenyans who came from other areas to work in predominantly Somali Wajir, some 100 miles from the Somali border, the suspected terrorists from the Somali rebel group entered the sleeping quarters of personnel at Qarsa Primary School and killed two Christian teachers and the wife of one of them, sources told Morning Star News.

After killing Seth Oluoch Odada, his wife Caroline and teacher Kevin Shari, one of the assailants said in the Somali language, “These infidels [non-Muslims] should be wiped out,” a teacher who survived the attack told a worker at Wajir Referral Hospital, the worker told Morning Star News.

The pastor of an area church, undisclosed for security reasons, told Morning Star News that Odada and his wife attended his church.

“We are very concerned about this selective kind of attack on non-locals who are also Christians in this region,” the pastor said. “Our other church members are not safe. Many of the church members, including teachers, have started fleeing the area to their home villages, and some did not attend the church for the Sunday service.”

It was not known if Shari belonged to a church. The bodies of those killed have been transferred to Chiromo Mortuary in Nairobi.

The hospital worker said that after shooting the couple, one of the assailants entered the house Shari shared with the surviving teacher. The gunman shot at Shari, and the same bullet struck the hand of the survivor, who fell down and pretended to be dead, the hospital source said, adding that the injured man said the shooter wore a mask typical of Al Shabaab militants.

The area pastor said local people believe area residents have joined Al Shabaab.

“I think these are the people who killed the three Christians,” he said.

Wajir is becoming increasingly dangerous for Christians since Al Shabaab militants appear to have shifted from Mandera, where they have carried out attacks in the past few years before the government recently erected a 10-kilometer wall on the border there, the pastor said.

Fear has shaken Christians in Wajir, he said. In Garissa, about 200 miles south of Wajir also near the Somali border, Al Shabaab has also been active. The pastors fellowship in Garissa reported several members did not appear for Sunday services.

“We as the pastors fellowship do register our concern to the government to protect Christians living in this volatile northeastern country,” the chairman of the pastor’s fellowship said.

The Wajir branch of the Kenya Union of Post Primary Education Teachers called for the withdrawal of all non-local teachers in Wajir County if the government fails to increase security.

“We cannot close our eyes as non-local teachers are being butchered,” a union official told Morning Star News.

Education along Kenya’s border with Somalia has been hobbled after non-Muslim teachers inn 2014 began refusing to work in the region following frequent attacks by Al Shabaab and its sympathizers on non-Muslims. (source)

Egyptian Christians Open Brand New Church Dedicated To Martyrs Slaughtered By Muslim Terrorists In Infamous ISIS Video

On February 15th, 2015, ISIS terrorists captured 21 Coptic Christians and filmed themselves as they slaughtered the Christians on a beach in Libya one-by-one. The men, who were murdered for their faith in Christ, remained believers to the end.

Three years later, the Coptic Orthodox Church has completed and opened the Church of Al-Shohadaa, or “the Church of the martyrs” dedicated to these 21 men in Al-Our, Egypt- the city where 13 of the 21 men came from:

The Bishop of Samalut Church in Minya, Anba Befnosios, held Mass prayers on Thursday to mark the opening of ‘al-Shohadaa’ (Martyrs) Church in al-Our village, which is dedicated to 21 Coptic martyrs killed by the Islamic State (IS) in Libya, 2015.

20 of the Coptic martyrs had once been residents in Minya’s Samalut and Mattay villages, before they were kidnapped by militants in January 2015. A republican decree was subsequently issued in 2015 to open a church in their memory.

Dozens of Copts and families of the martyrs participated in the Mass in al-Our village. They lifted the Egyptian flag on the church walls and placed depictions of prominent figures. Additionally, posters of Pope Twadros II, Bishop Benosios, and President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi were hung in front of the church.

A statement from the Libyan Interior Ministry said that the remains of the Egyptian Coptic martyrs were uncovered in October 2017.

The bodies were found handcuffed and beheaded, dressed in the same orange outfits they wore in the video showing their brutal murder, the statement said.

Libya’s Public Prosecution announced in September 2017 that the perpetrators of the kidnapping and beheading of 21 Copts in February 2015 had been arrested, after authorities identified the location of the murdered Copts in Sirte.

The Egyptian prosecution had referred 20 people in 2016 to court, for forming a terrorist cell affiliated to the Islamic State group in Libya, saying that a number of the defendants had been involved in the beheading of the 21 Copts. (source)

Iraqi Christian Bishop Declares ‘The Persecution We Have Experienced With ISIS Is What We Have Been Living With For The Last 14 Centuries Under Islam, Anything Less Is Dishonest’

Iraqi Christian Bishop Declares ‘The Persecution We Have Experienced With ISIS Is What We Have Been Living With For The Last 14 Centuries Under Islam, Anything Less Is Dishonest’

Chaldean Archbishop Bashar Warda of Irbil, Iraq recently spoke about the persecution of Christians in Iraq. He said that anybody who is honest with the situation of Christians in Iraq must admit that the persecution of Christians by ISIS is nothing new, and that it has been going on for 14 centuries since the inception of Islam:

If Christians in the Middle East are going to be “honest” with their Muslim dialogue partners, said Chaldean Archbishop Bashar Warda of Irbil, Iraq, Muslims will have to acknowledge that the persecution of Christians in the region did not start with the Islamic State’s rise to power in 2014.
“We experienced this not for the last four years, but 1,400 years,” Archbishop Warda said during a Feb. 15 speech at Georgetown University in Washington, sponsored by the Religious Freedom Research Project of the university’s Berkley Center for Religion, Peace & World Affairs.

Christians are partly to blame, too, in the dialogue, according to Archbishop Warda. “We did not push back against the recurring periods of terrorism that inflicted cruel pain upon our ancestors,” he said. He added that Christianity also needs to return to a “pre-Constantine vision” of the church, recalling Jesus’ words shortly before his crucifixion: “My kingdom is not of this world.”

Given the scope of the Islamic State’s campaign to erase Christians and all non-Muslims from the territories it had controlled prior to a counteroffensive that decimated its ranks and holdings, “there is nothing left but to speak plainly,” he said. “When there is nothing left to lose, it is very liberating.”

Archbishop Warda added, “We object that one faith has now the right to kill another. There needs to be a change and a correction within Islam.”

He said the typical Muslim response to Islamic State’s atrocities — declared genocide by the U.S. Department of State in 2016 — falls along the line of “ISIS does not represent Islam,” but rarely goes further, with no acknowledgment of past mistreatment of Christians or an expression of remorse for them.

“Post-ISIS, when ISIS has shaken the conscience of the world, and shaken the conscience of the Muslim majority world as well,” Archbishop Warda said, much of Islam “defines you as infidels.”

“In the Middle East, we have moved from fear to terror to horror,” he said. “Where next? … Hundreds of thousands of innocent people have died.”

He noted, “We have been hearing courageous words from some Islamic leaders. It should be encouraged,” although he cautioned, “we should not be passive, or simply pray for the best.”

With about $3 million donated by Italian Catholics, Archbishop Warda started the Catholic University of Irbil in 2015. It has 82 students, including four Muslims, in undergraduate degree programs in the arts and sciences. While there are other Catholic colleges in the Middle East, he said he thought it was important that this school have the name “Catholic” in its title.

The wait for reconstruction money continues. Archbishop Warda said the money is needed now, but governments just continue to “talk” rather than distribute funds. He took note of a March 14-15 conference in the region sponsored by the U.S. Agency for International Development. “They will probably just talk more” then, he added. “Maybe by late 2020” will the region finally see the promised funds, he guessed aloud.

“Your policy assessments have life-or-death consequences,” the archbishop said, asking for material support and not charitable aid. “Help us develop sustainable ways of life and income in Iraq,” he added, with the most critical needs being education and health.

For the estimated 200,000 or so Christians remaining in Iraq — down from about 1.5 million in 2003, when the United States launched the Iraq War — “ours is a missionary role, to give a witness to the truth of Christ,” Archbishop Warda said. “I am not speaking of conversion. I am speaking of the fundamental truth … that we can show in a moment of unique clarity.”

Archbishop Warda said, “So many of our people have fled, and so few of us are left,” but he added he does not begrudge families for making the decision to live elsewhere permanently for their safety or that of their children. “While it is true that our numbers are small, the number of Apostles were also small.” (source)
