Muslim Terrorists Are Wiping Out Entire Christian Villages And Kidnapping The Survivors In A Massive War Against Christianity In Nigeria

Muslim Terrorists Are Wiping Out Entire Christian Villages And Kidnapping The Survivors In A Massive War Against Christianity In Nigeria

Islamic terrorists from the northern regions of Nigeria have been waging an all-out war on Christianity throughout the country. Entire villages have been depopulated, churches destroyed, and countless people kidnapped and held for ransom. Christians live in constant fear of Muslim gangs who remain on the hunt for Christians to kidnap and hold captive according to a report:

Kwanti and its surrounding villages of large estates inhabited mostly by farmers have been taken over by armed bandits believed to be Muslim Fulani herdsmen and terrorists. They are working in concert to terrorize local communities through kidnappings and thus force people from their lands.

“Even if you give me 1 million naira [US$2,750], I will not take the risk to take you to Kwanti,” one of the drivers told me.

Unable to convince one of them to be my guide to the area, I watched as they discussed in hushed tones among themselves in the Gbagyi language. I approached them again with a Gbagyi greeting “Agife,” and they engaged me in talk of how mine was a trip of no return. Finally one elderly fellow consented to take me there – at five times the usual charge.

“If going to Kwanti will bring into the open our plight as a people, I am prepared to die for it so that my people can be rescued from kidnappers who have made our lives miserable,” he said.

On the one-hour drive to Kwanti, we did not meet a single soul on the roads. At every village we passed, the driver would stop and inquire how safe it was to proceed. The answer was always the same: “Watch out, but is the risk worth it?”

The “road” was a bush path that only vehicles fitted with special gears can negotiate. My guide was sweating profusely. Surrounded by forest, his eyes were roving from side to side checking for lurking kidnappers. To him we were traveling in the shadow of the valley of death, and I recited Psalm 23 to him, telling him that we were protected by the power above that is greater than that of the kidnappers.

When we arrived Kwanti, we found a ghost village. There were four abandoned church buildings – Catholic, EKAS, Baptist, and Assemblies of God – and numerous houses deserted out of residents’ fear of kidnappers. We met some few persons in the village who were moving their belongings out.

Once inhabited by prosperous, large-scale commercial farmers, the village had been attacked by marauding kidnappers four times within one year, I learned. Many lives were lost, many people were kidnapped and millions of naira had been paid as ransom for mostly women victims.

The few people left in the village told me all the church leaders had left because all the residents had fled. I got a phone number of one of the pastors and called him. He was shocked that I was in Kwanti. He urged me to leave the village immediately.

“The kidnappers are heartless,” he said. “They can kidnap you if they spot you. They strike any time, and ransom must paid before a victim can be released. Sometimes you may not be lucky to come out alive if they kidnap you. So please leave Kwanti now, and let me know if you’re out of the place safely.”

Other villages attacked within that triangular “axis of evil” include Ungwar Rimi, Bauta, Kunuko, Ronu, and Taso 2.

On our way out, as a safety measure we took a different route out of the village, but like the road in, it had broken culverts that forced us to drive into stream water to find our way. My guide’s relief was palpable when we arrived back at Kaduna city, but even as we thanked God for journey mercies and protection, my heart was still with those in Kwanti struggling to move their belongings out.

Surprisingly, the next morning some of the villagers phoned me to inquire whether I had safely reached Kaduna. They had been praying for my safe ride back.

The federal and Kaduna state governments urgently need to investigate the extent of lawlessness in this triangular axis between Kajuru, Jere, and Sabon Wuse/Ganya. Officials need to take measures to end the kidnappings that have become dreaded monsters devouring innocent lives of our citizens.

Kidnappings are not just a menace in southern Kaduna state but are becoming a phenomenon pushing the country to the brink. Leaders of the Roman Catholic Church recently lamented that the whereabouts of three nuns kidnapped in Benin City, Edo state in southwest Nigeria, are still unknown after two months. They were abducted along with three student-nuns at a convent by armed gunmen on Nov. 13.

The Rev. Alfred Adewale Martins, archbishop of Lagos Archdiocese of the Catholic Church, told reporters on Jan. 1 of his sadness over the incessant invasion of churches, kidnappings of priests and pastors and attacks on Christian communities across the country.

“It is disheartening that the security agencies have not been able to get the sisters out, and one wonders why this is the case,” he said. “We still do hope that the security agencies would do much more than is being done now to ensure that the sisters are released.”

Roseline Isiocha, Aloysius Ajayi and Frances Udi, along with the three nuns in training, were kidnapped at about 2 a.m. from a convent of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus (EHJ) Sisters, in Iguoriakhi village, near Benin City.

Unless drastic measures are adopted to curtail kidnapping, the practice threatens to spread into a dangerous conflagration. (source)

Three Christians From Nepal Are Arrested And Jailed In India For The ‘Crime’ Of “Spreading Christianity”

Three Christians From Nepal Are Arrested And Jailed In India For The ‘Crime’ Of “Spreading Christianity”

Three Christians from Nepal were arrested in India while handing out Christian literature. They were charged with “insulting the Hindu gods” and “spreading Christianity” according to a report:

Three Nepalese Christians who shared Christian materials in Shahjahanpur city in India have been arrested and sent to jail after some locals accused them of spreading Christianity and insulting Hindu gods.

The Times of India identified the accused on Thursday as Indra Bahadur Tamad, Shukra Rai and Mekh Bahadur, who arrived in Shahjahanpur on Sunday and began distributing Christian books.

The Nepalese citizens had rented a house and had planned to stay there for a while, but on Wednesday when addressing a crowd, they got into an argument with a couple of local Hindu men, Ravi Prakash Dikshit and Vimal Pandey.

Dikshit and Pandey later filed a complaint against the Christians, accusing them of insulting Hindu gods, which led the to the arrests.

Other locals who witnessed the exchange said that the Christians are innocent, however.

“The three of them are innocent and were only sharing the teachings of the Bible. A group of Christians come here every year and do the same, but such an incident has never happened before. They never uttered a single word against any god or goddess,” a resident, who wished not to be named, said.

Local police said that the Christians belong to the World Council of Churches and were there to promote Christianity, charging them under IPC Section 295A, or “deliberate and malicious acts intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs.”

Christian pastors and other believers are regularly arrested in India and threatened with prison for sharing the Gospel. Seven pastors were arrested in Northern India in December after they were accused of forcible conversion by Hindus in the Uttar Pradesh state.

The Christians were also accused of resorting to violence after Hindus refused their evangelistic efforts, though they deny the charges.

London-based charity British Asian Christian Association said at the time that the believers were denied bail.

“I can’t express the frustration I feel for these pastors. Words simply cannot convey the anger I feel when I think of their unwarranted arrest based on the lies of local people fearful of the Gospel message of Christ,” BACA’s lead officer in India, Pastor Naresh, said in a statement.

“Men trying to save the lives and the souls of others are arrested on the whim of extremists, but they never lose their calling or faith.”

In another incident in November in Chhattisgarh state, two pastors were beaten by Hindu extremists and forced to apologize for spreading the Gospel, which had offended some locals.

“Pastor Vijay Jogi and Pastor Santosh Rao were receiving the people at the entrance,” Pastor Amos James said about the Gospel meeting that attracted attention.

“Suddenly a mob of 70 Hindu Dharm Sena and Bajrang Dal activists gheraoed (encircled) the entrance, and Pastor Jogi and Pastor Rao were beaten and summoned to the police station,” he described. (source)

Fifty-Five Christians Have Been Murdered And Two Hundred Homes Burned By Muslim Terrorists In Just ONE State In Nigeria Last Week And The Violence Is Getting Worse

Almost half of Nigeria’s population is Christian and the numbers continue to grow, and with that violence against Christians in Nigeria continues to increase. Just last week alone 55 Christians were killed and 200 murdered in ONE state by Islamic terrorists according to a report:

Christian Solidarity Worldwide (CSW) said Fulani herdsmen are attacking and not clashing with Christians.

Mervyn Thomas, Chief Executive of CSW, told Premier not enough is being done to stop the violence.

He said: “It’s an awful situation. The world knows very little about it and the sad thing is… this goes on with impunity. Nobody is ever bought to book about it.”

Last week suspected Fulani ethnic militants – groups of semi-nomadic, Muslim herders – reportedly killed at least 55 people in Lau local government area of Taraba state.

According to local reports, since the attacks which began during the weekend, about 200 homes have been destroyed and 25 bodies were recovered and given a mass burial on Tuesday. (source)

Nine Out Of Ten Countries Where Christians Suffer The Most Persecution Are Islamic, Being A Christian Is Illegal Or Punishable Where Almost 1 In 12 Christians Live In The World Today

Nine Out Of Ten Countries Where Christians Suffer The Most Persecution Are Islamic, Being A Christian Is Illegal Or Punishable Where Almost 1 In 12 Christians Live In The World Today

Open Doors USA just released their annual Christian persecution watch list with the 50 nations Christians suffer the greatest amount of persecution in. Not suprising, 9 of the top 10, 19 of the top 25, and 36 of the top 50- or 90%, 76%, and 72% respectively- of all of the persecution of Christians comes from Muslim-majority nations, and 1 in 12 Christians in the world lives in an area where Christianity is illegal or punishable. according to their report:

But the new report reveals an alarming trend as countries driven by Islamic extremism reach persecution levels rivaling those in North Korea. Afghanistan (#2) and North Korea nearly tied for the No. 1 spot. Never before have the top two countries been so close in persecution incidents. Both countries are extreme in intolerance and outright persecution of Christians in all six areas of life that Open Doors monitors.

Countries in Africa, Asia and the Middle East are intensifying persecution against Christians. Perhaps the most vulnerable are Christian women, who often face double persecution for their faith and gender.

Every day, six women are raped, sexually harassed or are forced into marriage to a Muslim under threat of death due to their Christian faith. Research for the World Watch List documented 2,260 such incidences against women—and this number only covers those who had the courage to report such an incident, representing only a fraction of those actually raped and harassed in this way. Throughout this year, we’ve shared numerous stories of women, such as Debora in Nigeria, Rana in Iraq and Workitu in Ethiopia martyred for her faith, who have experienced dual persecution because they 1) believe in Jesus and 2) because they are female.

The overall numbers signal an increase in violence–especially against women, says Open Doors USA CEO David Curry. “It’s imperative we continue to advocate and call leaders to prioritize issues of religious freedom.” (source)

The report noted that while Christian persecution is most severe in Pakistan and Islamic violence remains the primary driving force of Christian persecution. It said that six countries saw a dramatic increase in persecution of Christians, of which five of them are Muslim- Egypt, Libya, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Turkey. However, there was one exception to this list, and that is India. Additionally, the report noted that the cause of the persecution in India was religious nationalism.

This fits with the assessment we gave during our 2017 end of the year summary for our major stories and trends of 2017 to watch going into the next year in which we wrote:

Christians are suffering persecution all around the world. However, a major nation to watch in the years coming is India because plans are actively under way by Hindu Nationalists to exterminate all non-Hindus and create a Hindu ethnostate no different than what Germany and Japan attempted to do centuries ago. These plans have been confirmed by both Christians as well as former Hindu Nationalists involved in creating them yet nobody is discussing them. Shoebat.com is the first and only website to systematically identify and outline the plans of these Hindu nationalists and call for Christians to prepare to help their Indian brothers as their lives will need it in the coming years. (source)

The fact remains that Muslim persecution of Christians is the single greatest cause of Christian persecution throughout the world by an indisputable measure. However, this does not mean that Christians persecuted in other areas should be ignored. At the same time, the persecution of Christians at the hands of ethnonationalist Hindus fits with the trend that Shoebat.com has been following in the west, which is the like rise of ethnonationalist paganism that is inherently anti-Christian and is being increasingly defined by anti-Christian pagans. While the form is different and the state of advancement might be delayed, the “alt-right movement” is simply a tool and will go down as such in history books as the vehicle by which ethnonationalism and the inevitable persecution of Christians that will follow was introduced and normalized to the people. What is happening in India is an extension of this.

According to official statistics from the Indian government, there are approximately 24 million Christians in India, or the population of both Kazakhstan and Libya put together. As the report noted, India is not yet in the top 10 nations for persecution, but in the duration of one year it went from #15 to #11. If trends continue at the rate they are, and currently they are, India will be in the top 10 nations where Christians are persecuted and will along with North Korea be the only one whose persecution does not come from the enforcement of Islamic theology by Muslims.

Additionally, another interesting point was that according to statistics, 6 Christian women each day are sexually assaulted worldwide as part of the persecution of Christians that is a way of life in so many areas in the world. While these statistics are terrible and certainly not something to boast about, there is hope, for thanks to your help, Rescue Christians was able to report that we have been able to Rescue an average of 5 to 6 Christians each day, EVERY day, from slavery. This could not have been accomplished without the assistance of many people who have supported us in this important and life-saving ministry.

It has scarcely been two weeks into 2018 and already Christian persecution has been making headlines in the news around the world with all of the horrors that defines it. There is much work ahead this year, and given the political and social climates with rising and institutionalized hatred of Christianity done in the name of race, “tolerance” or other popularized ideas, much preparatory work that needs to be done to prepare for the persecution in the years to come.

Major Hindu Terrorist Group With A Long History Of Violence Against Christians Says ‘If You Are A True Hindu, You Will Go Out And Buy Guns And Prepare To Fight The “Evil Forces” In India’

Major Hindu Terrorist Group With A Long History Of Violence Against Christians Says ‘If You Are A True Hindu, You Will Go Out And Buy Guns And Prepare To Fight The “Evil Forces” In India’

Bajrang Dal is a major Hindu terrorist group with a long history of violence against Christians in India. Founded in 1984, the group’s self-stated goal is the “reversal” of all “non-Hindu” influence in India, including the purge of all non-Hindu religions and making the cow the national symbol of India. This accords with what we have been warning about with the “Hindutva Rashtra,” or the “pure Hindu ethnostate” that Hindu nationalists state they want to realize and in both idea and the means by which they wish to go about realizing it are absolutely no different than what happened during World War II in Germany and Japan, except in an Indian context. Bajrang Dal has also been tied to racist, ethnonationalist, and anti-Christian movements abroad, including the Kahanist movement in Israel.

In a statement by Bajrang Dal leaders, they have told their followers that they need to go out and buy guns to prepare to fight the “evil forces” in India, according to a report:

In a bizarre statement, Bajrang Dal leaders in western Uttar Pradesh have asked Hindus to purchase guns and not mobiles to protect Hindu religion as “evil forces persists in India”. An appeal was also issued asking Hindus to visit Hanuman temples and not `Mazars’.

The statement came from Balraj Singh Dungar, regional coordinator of Bajrang Dal, who said during a Sant Samaj Sammelan in Meerut that Hindu dharma was in peril because evil forces were raising their heads. “If you are a true Hindu, take a vow to protect your religion. So, instead of purchasing a new mobile, purchase a gun,” he said in the meeting.

He did not specify who the evil forces were but talked about “love jihad” and how this practice was spreading its tentacles.

Dungar said that all Hindu Gods and Goddesses have arms to protect the society and religion from evils. “If Hindu Gods have arms, what’s wrong if we (Hindus) get arms and ammunition? These are not for attack but to defend ourselves,” he said.

In the same meet, the Maha-mandaleshar of Sankat Mochan Hanuman Sri Balaji and Sri Shani Dham Peeth, Mahendra Das, said Hindus should not visit `mazars’. They should admire the divine power of Lord Hanuman and visit Hanuman Temples.

The statement of Bajrang Dal came at a time when the Vishwa Hindu Parishad has launched a massive enrolment campaign where volunteers were enrolled in Bajrang Dal at special camps held across Uttar Pradesh.

At present, there are around 10 million active Bajrang Dal members in the country and the target was to increase it to 40 million. In UP alone, the target of the Sangh Parivar is to enrol 1.2 million new Bajrang Dal members.

The VHP’s department secretary, (Awadh Prant), Devendra Mishra, told this reporter that the criteria for new membership is that the members should be in the age group of 15 to 35 years and swear by the ideology of ‘Seva, Suraksha, Sanskar’.

The issue of ‘ghar vapsi’, protection of Hindu community and opposition to ‘love jihad’, besides service to the poor and downtrodden were some of the prime activities of Bajrang Dal, he said.

Clarifying that Muslim youths are not enrolled in the Bajrang Dal as the Sangh Parivar has separate wing for them called Rashtriya Muslim Manch, Mishra said Christians won’t be accepted.

Mishra said that the Bajranj Dal was yet to commence its much-publicised Trishul Diksha, which was stopped in 2006. “Every year, in the months of May-June, firearms training camp are organised in different parts of the state. The first camp was held in Ayodhya while in 2017, the camp was held in Hardoi,” he said. (source)

After A Christian Church Was Set On Fire, Police Investigating Eerily Warn The Christians ‘It Was Done By Those Who Don’t Like Christianity In The Middle Of A Muslim Country’

A Baptist Church was burned down in Muslim-majority Kyrgystan. When the police came to investigate, they eerily warned the Christians saying ‘the church fire was done by those who don’t want Christianity in the middle of a Muslim country’ according to a report

A Baptist community in eastern Kyrgyzstan fears for its safety, with its 40 Kyrgyz and Russian members searching for a new place of worship, after unknown attackers set its church building on fire, World Watch Monitor (WWM) reported.

According to WWM, when local radio and TV stations broadcasted news of the arson attack, in Kajisay, a small town in the Issyk-Kul region that borders China, it caused a ‘great public outcry’.

The organisation reported an investigating police officer as saying that the attack was ‘organised by those who don’t like your church and Christianity in the midst of a Muslim country’.

Meanwhile, one church member reportedly said: ‘We don’t believe that the police will find and punish those who burned our church.’

Local Christians said that instead of pursuing the arsonists, police have asked questions about who funded the church building, how many Kyrgyz are members, and why, as ethnic Muslims, they do not go to the local mosque.

In August last year, WWM reported an attack on a Christian community in which, according to local sources, Islamic radicals sprayed ‘We will kill you’ across the church’s walls.

A source added at the time that ‘police and the authorities will stay away from this case because they do not want to help Christians’, who make up only six per cent of the population of the country. (source)

Muslim Woman Gives Christian Widow And Her Five Children Gifts Filled With Poison On Christmas Day

Muslim Woman Gives Christian Widow And Her Five Children Gifts Filled With Poison On Christmas Day

A Muslim woman admitted to giving her Christian neighbor gifts filled with poison on Christmas Day. She said that she did it because the family, who are former Muslims turned Christians, were ‘too loud’ during their worship services at home according to a report:

A Christian mother of five in eastern Uganda was pleasantly surprised when two Muslim neighbors visited her on Christmas morning with gifts of sugar, salt, soap, matchboxes, groundnuts and cooking oil.

Nafamba Bongo Madina, whose children range in age from 5 to 14, thanked Taaka Hajira and the other Muslim neighbor in Gayaza village, Kabuna Sub-County, Budaka District, for the goods. When the lunch hour approached, Madina began preparing some food with the oil she had received.

Before serving lunch to family members, including an in-law unnamed for security reasons, she first tasted the food. Within minutes she began vomiting.

“When she started screaming and was continuously vomiting, I called in a taxi and rushed her to Kabuna dispensary, where it was found that she had been poisoned,” the in-law told Morning Star News.

Madina was treated and discharged after spending a night in the health center.

After she returned, Madina’s relatives took the cooking oil to the center for analysis, where it was found to contain poison, the relative said.

The chairman of Gavaza village, John Guloba, urgently convened an 8 a.m. meeting on Dec. 28, where he questioned Hajira. She confirmed that she had taken the gifts to Madina, including the poisoned cooking oil, the in-law said. Another Gavaza official present, Laaka Bison, confirmed to Morning Star News that Hajira confessed.

Accused of intending to kill Madina and her family members, Hajira asked for forgiveness, saying that since Madina’s family left Islam two years ago, the loudness of their weekly worship at their house with some other church members had been disturbing her and other Muslim neighbors. Hajira’s house is about 100 yards from Madina’s.

Chairman Guloba, a Christian, expressed his shock at what could have befallen Hajira’s family, but village leaders made no legal decisions.

Police have not been called, apparently in order to keep tensions with the Muslim community from escalating, but the in-law said Muslim neighbors have started taunting Madina’s children by calling them infidels.

“I know this is meant at provoking my family, with an intention of causing harm to us,” Madina said.

Madina’s husband died shortly after leaving Islam and placing his faith in Christ two years ago, leaving her and her children, now ages 14, 12, 10, 7 and 5. (source, source)

Hindu Policeman Tells Disabled Christian Pastor At Police Station ‘If You Keep Worshipping Jesus I Will Cut Your Leg Off And Turn Your Life Into A Living Hell’

Hindu Policeman Tells Disabled Christian Pastor At Police Station ‘If You Keep Worshipping Jesus I Will Cut Your Leg Off And Turn Your Life Into A Living Hell’

A Christian pastor was summoned to a police station after a conflict with Hindu extremists. At the station, the policeman, also a Hindu, told the pastor that he would cut off the pastors leg and ‘make (his) life a living hell’ if he did not stop worshipping Christ:

Summoned to a police station after Hindu extremists stopped his church’s worship last month, a pastor in northern India brought some 50 Christians with him to help plead for his rights.

But 45-year-old pastor David Amarnath of Pathakpur village in Bhadohi District, Uttar Pradesh state, was taken aback by what police told him.

“Why did you bring all these people?” an officer told him. “It is very simple. The BJP [Bharatiya Janata Party] government is ruling now, and you can’t assemble to pray. The local Hindu Vahini activists and all RSS [Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh] groups are now informed of your activities – they will be after you. Even we can’t help you.”

Pastor Amarnath added that when the Christians asked about the fundamental right to freedom of worship in the Indian constitution, saying they had not violated any laws, police official M.K. Pandey replied, “So, if I lodge an FIR [First Information Report] against your brother, are you all ready to go to jail for him?”

The Christians said, “Yes.” Pandey later told Pastor Amarnath, who has only one complete leg and requires a wheelchair, that if he continued worshipping, “I will cut your other leg off. Your life will become hell. So refrain from all Christian activities,” according to the pastor.

Church member Amit Jaiswar said that the Dec. 11 encounter at the police station and the disruption of worship the previous day made Christmas celebration impossible.

“We have not gathered as a church for Sunday worship for three weeks till date,” he told Morning Star News. “We did not celebrate Christmas and could not observe watch night service for New Year’s Eve. Our pastor is under observation by RSS activists.”

On Dec. 25, seven police officers were deployed in front of Pastor Amarnath’s house to ensure that he led no house church worship, he said.

“They told me to lead life quietly and not become the target of Hindu extremists,” he said. “I shared the gospel with them. I told them about the importance for fellowship, and the love we share. My children distributed pieces of cake to the police and neighbors. That was our Christmas!”

Compliant Police

It took only two Hindu extremists to stop the worship of Pastor Amarnath’s congregation of 200 people. Sarweshwar Singh, 30, and an accomplice barged into the worship service at around 12 noon and started threatening the Christians.

“He started shouting at us, ‘What is going on here? Why are you people gathered here? I will tear your skin and break your bones if I see any of you praying,’” church member Jaiswar said.

The Christians asked Singh what had happened and why he was troubled. He replied, “I want to put an end to your Bible reading and worship here – how dare you practice Christianity here? How dare you attract Hindus to your faith?” according to Jaiswar.

Jaiswar told him the gathering was not a religion but the Way and the Truth, and that village officials had granted them permission to meet at the village council hall.

He said that Singh grew angrier and shouted, “Oh! Woah! You are singing the goodness of a foreign god. Did you ever read Bhagwadgita or Ramayana? Why are our holy books not touching your heart?”

“I told them the Bible has given me the peace which nothing in the world could give,” Jaiswar, a father of two, said. “They were just two people, but their anger was uncontrollable. It pained us when they started saying, ‘Since your pastor is disabled, he is making his living by misguiding you people into believing a foreign god. Call him out now. We will cut his other [remaining] leg off.’”

The extremists shoved their way into the hall and spoke obscene, humiliating words against the pastor, he said. The hard-line Hindus called police, and when officers arrived Singh ordered them to register a case against the pastor. Pastor Amarnath explained that the church had full permission to worship there.

“The extremists warned the police to register a case on David Amarnath and immediately impose sections of the Indian Penal Code irrelevant to the situation, but with a higher degree of punishment,” Jaiswar said, adding that Sing said, “If you [police] don’t, we will see to it.”

The next day morning Pastor Amarnath was summoned to the police station.

Police Harassment

In Uttar Pradesh’s Nawabganj town in Bareilly District, police on Dec. 27 dispersed 150 Christians as they finished celebrating Christmas with three days of worship at a house church and accused them of forcible conversions, the church pastor said.

Pastor Shyam Lal told Morning Star News that police arrived at his house and began badgering them, asking, “Why are you converting people? You decorated the house well, gave it a celebratory look and are converting Christians.”

“I told them, ‘No, we don’t convert anyone. We only worship our Lord Jesus Christ, and we are celebrating Christmas,’” he said, adding that police said they had received a complaint from the Hindu Parishad, an extremist group, that they were “converting people.”

Police summoned the father of five to the police station the next day, Dec. 28, where he was surprised to find about 15 RSS and Hindu Parishad members had gathered. Lal told them the church hadn’t disturbed anyone, and that as citizens of India they had freedom to worship the Lord.

“But the RSS and Vishwa Hindu Parishad activists present in the police station started abusing me in extreme foul language in front of the police,” Lal said. “They said, ‘You must take a pledge right now that you won’t worship Lord Jesus.’”

The RSS and VHP extremists, led by Akhilesh Kumar Gangwar, are the same people who ordered police to register a false case against pastor Mahendra Pal, Lal said.

Lal told them he wouldn’t take the pledge.

“Then they started saying, ‘Okay, you can pray and worship within the four walls of your house with your family only. No other should join you in this. You must not invite anybody.’”

When he told them he would continue worshipping as he pleased, he said, they became further enraged and shouted, “You must not share gospel. You must not pray for healing of anyone. Why are you attracting crowds to Christianity?”

“The RSS activists came in hundreds, and they called media also,” he said. “They threatened me, saying, ‘Our angry activists are outside, you get four witnesses and sign the pledge with them, only then you would go home safely from here.’ There was so much pressure on me that I had to sign the pledge, but I did not get any witnesses, and immediately left the police station.”

His church has decided to meet in groups of 10 or 15 in different homes for worship, he said.

“The house church is vacant,” he said. “We have not gathered to celebrate New Year’s also.” (source)

Hindu Terrorists Go To Christian College And Demand To Do Hindu Rituals On Campus And Threatens “Or Else You Will Have Problems”

Hindu Terrorists Go To Christian College And Demand To Do Hindu Rituals On Campus And Threatens “Or Else You Will Have Problems”

A group of Hindus from the BJP approached a Catholic college in India and demanded that they be allowed to do Hindu rituals on campus. The college repsonded that since they do not even have Catholic mass on campus, they would not allow any Hindu rituals. In response the Hindus flew into a rage and began threatening the college, saying if they did not submit “you will have problems” according to a report:

If you do not celebrate Hindu rituals in the Catholic institute “you will have problems”. This is what the Hindu radicals of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (Abvp) are threatening in Madhya Pradesh. The target of this latest episode of intimidation is St. Mary’s Post Graduate College in Vidisha. Speaking to AsiaNews Msgr. Anthony Chirayath, bishop of Sagar, says: “I am worried because Hindu right-wing activists say they want to do a ‘pooja’ [ritual votive to the gods, ed] in our Catholic institution. In the college we do not celebrate Mass or prayers and we will not allow [that they] offer any Hindu sacred ceremony. ”

The incident dates back to December 30, when a group of Abvp activists, the youth wing of the BJP [Bharatiya Janata Party, Hindu nationalist party in government – ed] came to college asking to speak with the administration. Fr Shaju Devassy, the principal, reports that the Hindus wanted to force the school to carry out there and then the Bharat Mata Aarti [national personification of India as “Mother Goddess”, represented by the goddess Durga dressed in an orange sari and accompanied by a lion – ed.] Faced with the refusal of Catholics, “they became furious and threatened that they would complete the ritual even by force”. “We feel emotionally harassed – adds the priest – the students fear for their safety”.

Msgr. Chirayath reports that the incident occurred “under the eyes of many policemen. Several priests from the diocese of Sagar went to college to support the direction with prayer “. He furthermore recalls that intimidation at the institute is “the fourth recent incident in Madhya Pradesh. The first, in September, when fundamentalists falsely accused the Church of forced conversions against 200 people. Police investigations have shown that the allegations were fabricated and groundless. Then the procession with fiery torches of the radicals on the streets of Sagar. Recently, during the Christmas period, the aggression of the seminarians and priests of Satna who were in the villages for Christmas carols. And now this incident at Vidisha College.” (source)

Last year, President Trump’s series of deportation orders affected thousands of Christians living in the USA, with many of those affected being refugees from Islamic violence in their native lands. In Detroit, 1400 Christians were arrested and threatened with being forcibly repatriated to Iraq.

Thanks to a Federal judge not only has the deportation order been stopped, but the Federal Government has been ordered to give them a bond hearing, and if they do not receive one by February 2nd, they will be ordered to be released according to a report:

A U.S. district judge in Detroit ruled on Tuesday against part of President Donald Trump’s deportations initiative by stating that hundreds of Iraqi nationals, many of them Christians, that were detained earlier this year must either be released, or granted bond hearings.

“Our legal tradition rejects warehousing human beings while their legal rights are being determined, without an opportunity to persuade a judge that the norm of monitored freedom should be followed,” U.S. District Judge Mark Goldsmith said, according to The Associated Press.

Authorities must release detainees who do not get a bond hearing by February 2, unless they pose a public safety risk, the judge ruled.

Back in July, Goldsmith halted deportation orders for as many as 1,400 Iraqis in America, some with past criminal convictions, arguing that their lives are at stake if they are sent back home.

“Without a stay in place, deportations will begin immediately, which may mean a death sentence for some deportees,” the court found at the time.

Trump’s administration has been attempting to deport Iraqis in a move to tighten immigration and security in the U.S., Reuters pointed out, with the Iraqi government agreeing in March to repatriate its nationals.

Goldsmith said on Tuesday that there is no “no written agreement” with Iraq regarding such cooperation, however, and said that the conditions under which the nationals would be sent back are also yet to be made clear.

Civil rights groups representing the detainess praised the latest decision.

“(Goldsmith) just really reaffirmed the principle that indefinite detention in this country is not acceptable,” said Kary Moss, executive director of the American Civil Liberties Union of Michigan.

Chaldean Christian activists and families cried out earlier this year against the arrests in Detroit and across the country of members of their community.

“We can’t say these people went through genocide and send them back to be victimized again! We hope and pray that the issue gets resolved,” Pastor Jalil Dawood, the president of World Refugee Care, who fled Iraq as a refugee during the war with Iran in 1982, told The Christian Post back then.

“America should never deport Christians to Iraq because they will be in trouble in Iraq as over a million left Iraq since 2003, and this will cause great hardship to their loved ones here,” also bringing “harm to them physically, mentally, and spiritually if they [are] ever sent back,” Dawood added.

Many evangelical groups, including Trump’s own evangelical advisory board, have urged the administration not to deport the Iraqis.

Rep. Anna Eshoo, D-Calif., who is a Chaldean Catholic of Assyrian and Armenian heritage, pointed out that Chaldeans “have been targeted by ISIS and subjected to genocide, as have other religious minorities. Their deportation represents a death sentence should they be deported to Iraq or Syria.”

“It has also been reported that the individuals have criminal records. If the offenses they committed have already been ‘paid for’ by serving an appropriate sentence, facing a death sentence via deportation is disproportionate and unjust,” she added. (source)
